Getting to Mackinac Island
By Land
: Passenger ferry service to Mackinac Island is located in the downtown areas of Mackinaw City in the lower peninsula and St. Ignace in the upper peninsula.  There are three ferry lines to choose from:
Sheplers Ferry, Arnold Ferry and Star Line Ferry.

By Air: Commercial airline service is available through Northwest Airlines to Pellston Regional Airport, which is 10 miles from Mackinaw City. Taxi service is available from the airport to the ferry docks, and air charter service to the island is also available. For airline information click here.

American Business Airways is a private air charter company that will pick you up at the closest general aviation airport to your home and fly you directly to the island.  The Inn at Stonecliffe is the closest hotel to the airport, just minutes away.  For more information about American Business Airways, visit their website at www.americanbusinessairways.com.

Location
Mackinac Island sits in the Straits of Mackinac, a waterway that separates Michigan's upper and lower peninsulas and connects Lake Huron and Lake Michigan. The island is in the eastern part of the Straits, making it a part of Lake Huron.
