Once on Mackinac Island, how do we get to The Inn at Stonecliffe?
Once you arrive on Mackinac Island, you will be greeted by a Dock Porter who will be helpful in answering any questions you have. There are horse drawn shuttle services and taxis that are available all throughout the day to take guests to the Inn at Stonecliffe. Also, many of our guests choose to walk or ride bicycles up to the Inn and enjoy the scenic views along the west bluff of the island.
How
do I get my luggage to The Inn at Stonecliffe?
When you arrive at the ferry docks in Mackinaw
City or St. Ignace, ask the dockhands to tag your
luggage for The Inn at Stonecliffe. Your luggage
will travel on a cart on the back of the boat
to the island. Once on the island, our dock porters
will pick up your luggage from the Mackinac Island
ferry docks and take it directly to your room
at The Inn at Stonecliffe.

Do
you serve breakfast?
Yes. The Inn at Stonecliffe is proud to serve its guests a deluxe hot breakfast including fresh fruits, eggs, potatoes, choice of meat, pastries, cereal, hot coffee and teas, and fresh fruit juices.
What meals do you serve?
The Inn at Stonecliffe serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Lunch is served during prime season (June 1 - August 31) and a delicious dinner buffet is available every night with plenty of tasty options to choose from.
What
is there to see and do on Mackinac Island?
A lot! Bike the 8.2 miles around the island and
stop along the way to see Arch Rock, British Landing
Nature Center, Lover's Leap and Devil's Kitchen.
Visit Fort Mackinac, a 219-year old National Historic
Site built by the British. Tour the Mackinac Island
Butterfly House, a large greenhouse filled with
beautiful butterflies. Take a carriage tour of
the island, or explore Mackinac's many trails
on horseback. Spend the day shopping downtown
in Mackinac's unique shops, and of course, don't

Since there are no cars on Mackinac Island, how do you get
around?
Most everything on the island is within a ten
to fifteen minute walk from the inn, so walking
and biking are the most popular transportation
choices. When those options simply won't do, horse
drawn taxis are available to take you where you
need to go.
What
is your pet policy?
The Inn at Stonecliffe cannot accommodate pets.

What
locations are available for a wedding ceremony?
There are four beautiful areas that wedding ceremonies can be held at Stonecliffe. The elegant veranda overlooks Lake Michigan and the Mackinac Bridge and is great for small wedding groups. The front lawn and Stoneclifffe point are two popular sites for wedding ceremonies offering a peaceful outdoor experience for your wedding with views of the Mackinac Bridge all around. Our most popular venue is in the Grotto at the Inn at Stonecliffe. This quiet, scenic area features a beautiful fountain and carefully maintained flower beds offering amazing opportunities for pictures that are sure to make memories of your special day.
What
types of receptions can you host?
Plated dinners, buffet dinners or hors d'oeuvres
receptions.
How
many guests can we host?
The Inn at Stonecliffe can accommodate up to 150 guests for banquets and wedding receptions.
Do
you have a private room for the reception?
Yes. For groups of less than 50 people, the
parlor area in the Stonecliffe mansion is the perfect spot hold your intimate event. For larger groups, our beautiful outdoor tent facility offers breathtaking views of the water and the Mackinac Bridge and is equipped with outdoor bar areas, and a spacious dance floor.
How
long will the room be available to us?
The dining room is available from 12:00 to 4:00
p.m. or 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. There is a four-hour
maximum. Receptions can not run over the allotted
time.
Do
you have a dance floor?
Yes, there is a great dance floor located in our outdoor tent area overlooking the Mackinac Bridge and the Straits of Mackinac.
What
kind of music to you recommend for the ceremony/reception?
Hiring a pianist, harpist, guitarist or string
quartet is the most elegant musical option for
your wedding. DJs and amplified music are not
permitted inside the inn for consideration of
our other guests.
Will
other events be occurring at the same time as
our reception?
No. Only one event takes place at a time so that
you receive our complete and undivided attention.
Will
a wedding coordinator be available on our wedding
day?
Yes. The Inn at Stonecliffe's wedding specialist
will be available all day to attend to every detail
and ensure your special day is complete without
a snag.
When
do you need the final head count?
The Inn at Stonecliffe requires a final head count no later than 30 days prior to a scheduled event at the Inn.
