How many weddings are hosted at one time?
We have the flexibility and space to host more than one wedding at a time, however, we choose to focus on one wedding at a time. Whether you choose a micro wedding, an intimate wedding with a small number of family and friends or you choose a large wedding your special day is our priority.
What is included in the venue fee for a micro wedding?
- Two-Hour Ceremony / Celebration
- Seating for up to 30 guests,
- Quaint Cocktail Reception at the site with Celebratory Champagne Toast, Lite Bites / Canapes
- 1 Small Wedding Cake packaged for couple to-go

How many people can you accommodate for a wedding?
200 Seat Dinner Guests / 300 for Standing Reception
What are the time frames for weddings?
Your site fee includes 5 hours of event time. Outside Music must end by 10 pm.
How much time is allowed for decorating, setup and cleanup?
You will have access to The Inn at Stonecliffe by 12 noon on your wedding day. Our team, along with your Vendors, will handle all setup and clean up to including décor, food, beverage, chairs, tables, and linens.
What is needed to book your wedding experience at The Inn at Stonecliffe?
We will need a signed contract and a minimum 25% non-refundable deposit to secure your wedding day.
How do we rehearse for the wedding?
We offer a rehearsal time the day before your wedding based on guest arrival times and availability.
How many guestrooms are available? Is there a discount offered?
There are several options for overnight accommodations. Onsite we have 52 luxury guest accommodations, including private rooms, suites, and cottages. Our standard wedding contract requires reservations for 10 guestrooms for 2 nights at a group discount. Based on date, rate, and availability. A special discount is also available for the Wedding Couple on their wedding night.
What happens if it rains?
Picture you and your finance surrounded by family and friends. The candles are lit, and the music plays softly in the background. Everyone is dry and settled in for your nuptials in our lovely Sunset Pavilion or Lani.
Does The Inn at Stonecliffe offer the bride a “ready room”?
The Inn at Stonecliffe offers a lovely “ready room” on the 2nd floor of our Wellness Center. It has been designed with the bride in mind.
How late does the Horse and Carriage service run?
There are several carriage services on the island. They offer 24-hour service.
What do you charge for additional events, like a rehearsal dinner, a welcome reception, or post-wedding brunch?
We do have a minimum setup fee of $5,000 for each additional private event.
How soon before our wedding do we plan our menu and have a tasting?
We suggest planning your menu and tasting within 6 months of your wedding. We will taste food and spirits at that time.
Can we bring in outside vendors?
Yes, however, we recommend you choose from our list of Preferred Vendors. Each of our vendors have been professionally vetted and approved to ensure the success of your wedding experience. If you choose to use a vendor who is not on our Preferred Vendors List, our Team will need to approve them and get the appropriate insurance forms completed.
Do you have an Onsite Coordinator?
Yes, one of our Wedding Specialists will be onsite throughout your event. All vendors will coordinate directly with our Wedding Specialist. While we do not handle decorations, favors, personal item clean-up or running your timeline, we are happy to suggest qualified individuals who are proficient in all these services.
We require you to hire, at a minimum, a Day of On-Site Certified Wedding Coordinator.
Do you allow live music, bands, or DJs on the premises?
Yes, let’s discuss your thoughts, many couples use a combination of live music, as well as DJ service for their special day to add diversity to entertainment. To respect our neighbors, the property is quiet at 10 pm.
What is the deadline for making changes?
With the exception of the final guest count (which is due 14 business days prior to your event) all requested changes are due 30 days prior to your event date.
When do you require the final head count?
The final numbers are due 14 business days prior to the event.
When are deposits and payments due?
A non-refundable 25% deposit is due when signing the contract to book & hold The Inn at Stonecliffe for your special day. (A payment schedule will be put in place to ease the large payment at 60 days) 60 days prior to the event, 100% of all estimated charges are due. Final payment is due with the final guarantee of guests 14 business days prior to the event. Any difference in charges will be settled within 24 hours after the event.
How do we obtain a certificate of insurance?
First, contact your homeowner’s or renter’s insurance provider and ask them if they will allow you to add a One Day Special Event Insurance Certificate to your policy. If not, visit www.nasep.org or www.eventinsure.com and follow the steps to obtain your policy.

The Mackinac County Clerk’s office is in St. Ignace, MI. Call 906-643-7300 for appointment & marriage license pricing.
