About the Mackinac Policy Conference

The Mackinac Policy Conference is Michigan’s premier annual gathering of business leaders, policymakers, and civic decision-makers. Hosted each spring by the Detroit Regional Chamber at the Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island, the conference draws executives, elected officials, nonprofit leaders, and media from across the state and beyond.

  • Invitation-only policy and leadership forum
  • Keynotes, panels, and private networking events
  • Historically sells out each year

Conference Week Lodging Is Extremely Limited

Because the conference is hosted at the Grand Hotel, lodging across Mackinac Island becomes highly competitive. Room blocks at the Grand Hotel are typically reserved for speakers, sponsors, and chamber leadership—leaving most attendees to secure alternative accommodations.

  • 3-night minimum stays
  • Registration is required before booking
  • Many island hotels sell out early
