Where is Stonecliffe located on the island?
The Inn at Stonecliffe is located about 2 miles from downtown Mackinac Island on the west side. The setting offers tranquility and elevated views away from the hustle and bustle of Main Street.
Is the property pet-friendly?
For the comfort and safety of all guests, pets are not permitted anywhere on the property.
What amenities are available on property?
Guests can enjoy complimentary wi-fi throughout the property, 2 seasonal outdoor pools, 24 hour wellness center and fitness area, on-site bike rentals, concierge and luggage services, coffee and water throughout their stay, multiple dining options (The Straits, The Backyard, Horsey’s Pub, General Store) and lawn games and fire pits with daily s’mores (weather dependent).
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in begins at 4:00pm and check-out is 11:00am.
What is your cancellation or deposit policy?

What forms of payment are accepted?
We accept major credit cards. A credit card is required at check-in, and full payment may be due upon arrival. We are a cashless property. Please plan accordingly should you wish to show appreciation to our service staff.
Can children stay at Stonecliffe?
Yes, we are a family-friendly property. We have a family-friendly pool and activities for kids. Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. We do not offer child services.
Are there any smoking or noise policies?
The Inn at Stonecliffe is a non-smoking property. In accordance with Michigan State Law, the use of tobacco products are strictly prohibited in all indoor and outdoor guest areas, including guest rooms. The use of medical and recreational marijuana is strictly prohibited at The Inn at Stonecliffe as well. Outdoor wedding events and similar gatherings are required to conclude by 10pm. Quiet hours are respected to ensure comfort for all guests and our neighbors.
How do I get to Stonecliffe from the ferry docks?
Since cars aren’t allowed on Mackinac Island, guests arrive via foot, bike, or horse-drawn carriage. We offer a complimentary Stonecliffe shuttle from the ferry docks upon arrival and departure (Guest services team will provide schedule prior to arrival).
Is luggage assistance provided?
Yes, luggage can be tagged at the ferry dock and will be transferred to the property. For departure, please advise the front desk at least 1 hour ahead of departure so we can coordinate luggage delivery back to the ferry docks.
What dining options are available?
There are several different dining options located right on property. The Straits, located inside our historic Mansion, serves breakfast and dinner daily during the season. We also have Horsey’s Pub, our Mansion bar, offering service from 12pm - 10pm. The Backyard and patio area serves wood fired pizzas and casual fare.
