Celebrate America's 250th Anniversary at The Inn at Stonecliffe
A Historic Setting for a Once-in-a-Generation Celebration
In 2026, our nation marks an extraordinary milestone: the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. At The Inn at Stonecliffe, we can think of no better place to commemorate this historic occasion than on Mackinac Island. A destination where history is not simply remembered but woven into the everyday life. From horse-drawn carriages and historic forts to timeless waterfront views, the island offers a uniquely American backdrop for this once-in-a-generation celebration. As a historic estate first built in 1904 and thoughtfully reimagined as a luxury resort in 2024, The Inn at Stonecliffe invites guests to experience America's 250th anniversary through meaningful experiences, memorable gatherings, and unforgettable moments overlooking the Straits of Mackinac.
A Landmark Reimagined
For more than 120 years, Stonecliffe has stood as a hidden gem, yet longing for the welcomed guests seeking beauty, tranquility, and connection. Originally constructed as a private summer estate, the property has long been part of Mackinac Island's rich history. Following an extensive property-wide transformation completed in 2024, The Inn at Stonecliffe now blends modern luxury with the timeless character that has defined the property for generations.
Today, guests can enjoy fully renovated accommodations, expansive grounds, elevated dining experiences, and some of the most breathtaking views on Mackinac Island. Best of all, 100% of net profits support charitable initiatives through the Pulte Family Charitable Foundation. As America celebrates 250 years of history, innovation, and resilience, Stonecliffe stands as a reminder that honoring the past and embracing the future can go hand in hand.

Stars, Stripes & Rosé Event on July 1, 2026
One of the signature events of our America 250 celebration is Stars, Stripes & Rosé, a festive summer gathering hosted on the scenic back lawn of The Inn at Stonecliffe in partnership with Hampton Water Rosé. Taking place on July 1 from 1–7 pm, guests will enjoy an afternoon of live music from local artist Gabi June, specialty cocktails, delicious food, lawn games, family-friendly activities, giveaways, and sweeping views of the Straits of Mackinac. More than just a celebration, the event also supports a meaningful cause. Proceeds from Stars, Stripes, & Rosé benefit Operation Homefront, a nonprofit dedicated to building strong, stable, and secure military families.
Guests and supporters from across the country can also participate in our online silent auction here, featuring a signed Bon Jovi guitar, helping extend the impact of the event beyond Mackinac Island.
Whether you're spending the afternoon with family, raising a glass with friends, or simply soaking in one of the island's most spectacular views, Stars, Stripes & Rosé promises an unforgettable start to Independence Day week. Learn more about the event here.
